servicii in UK – pensatul

driving in the UK

I love and I admire British people and my respect for them has increased a lot since I’ve started driving here. I have noticed, as pedestrian, that the drivers do not use the horns very much, no loud stereo music from cars as you hear everywhere in Romania, no curses. I am sorry to say it, but that’s reality. Here, in UK, I‘ve heard the sound of horns 4 times in a year, how do you find it? To be honestly I honk in traffic in Romania. But I honk because I hate and I get nervous when I see those jerks who don’t wait at a traffic light, those uncivilized drivers trying to bypass the traffic queue although they don’t have an emergency. I am able to hit my car in order not to let them in front of me when I am in a traffic queue. I know

shopping in Cardiff – part II

Today I’ll tell you about Poundland. I don’t know how I’ve forgotten the first time I’ve written about shopping to mention Poundland or Poundworld.  As its name says anything you buy is 1 Pound or 1£ (GBP). Call it whatever you want. There are 2 Poundland and 1 Poundworld in Cardiff, in the area where I live. Poundland chain has more stores than Poundworld, they sell almost the same things, except for a few differences. When I want to buy something I go to all the 3 stores and it is almost impossible not to find what I want even in one store  🙂 What do you find in these stores? Just about anything you want, less clothing. There are only a few things for kids: socks, gloves etc. Cosmetics: all kinds of cosmetics, deodorants, hair dye products, perfumes not originals but the design of the boxes and the bottles

la volan prin UK

ce-i iubeam si-i admiram pe oamenii astia pana acum, dar de cand am venit aici cu masina, respectul meu pentru ei a crescut considerabil. remarcasem si pana acum ca nu se aud claxoane, injuraturi, muzica data la maxim, toparlanisme de-astea de le intalnesti la tot pasul in Romania. imi pare rau ca spun asta, dar asa se intampla acolo. aici am auzit 4 claxoane intr-un an, oare cum vi se pare asta? nu ca eu n-as claxona in Romania. claxonez si injur pentru ca urasc si iau foc cand vad nesimtitii aia de nu stiu sa stea la coada, necivilizatitii aceia imputiti care intra pe alta banda si apoi iti iau fata. sunt in stare sa lovesc masina numai sa nu ii las. si chiar am acea pornire de a intra in ei, desi stiu sigur ca n-as rezolva nimic. aici am auzit o singura data, muzica data la maxim

shopping in Cardiff – partea a II-a

shopping in Cardiff – part I

I hope you will like this article, do not believe anymore that England (in fact, UK)  is an expensive country. If you stay a long time, as I do, and if you have time to visit Malls, Shopping Centers, you can find the most advantageous things for you, regarding price, sizes, etc. Firstly, I will mention that I don’t go to Zara, Mango – they are in Romania too and they have the same prices (but here these prices don’t seem to be so high comparing with their income; this does not happen in Romania). I go to New Look and Marks and Spencer, English brands and here the clothing differs from what we find in Romania at the same brands. I buy from Mark and Spencer when they have big discounts because this brand clothing is expensive. But let’s take a look, I will tell you what seems to

how much is the student accommodation in the UK

The accommodation can be cheap or expensive, for the Romanians income, it is expensive. It varies between 200 (minimum) and 600 GBP (I won’t talk about more than 600 GBP because the subject is the student life not holiday). If your budget do not allow you more, you can find something for 200 GBP – a house with bedrooms – rent together with a few colleagues. It’s true that in the first year when you come here, you don’t have many friends, but you can find places in this type of houses. The inconvenience is that you don’t know the others, if they are troublemakers, or if they like cleaning their place; in this type of house there is only one bathroom for 3-4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms for 5-6 bedrooms. The problem is that girls need the bathroom more than the boys (some girls more than other girls) and

how much does a student spend on transport per month in the UK

Let’s see! In Romania, as in many countries, students use the transport, but much of them don’t buy tickets, I don’t know what the others do. I haven’t used the transport for years. But here, it’s different. It seems that the train is the most used mean of transport, it has stations in every town. It’s like a high speed tram, but it’s a train, Arriva Train Wales, it’s not luxury, but it is clean and civilized, I use it to go to University in Treforest, 4 stations. Usually, a ticket costs 6.80 GBP, it is expensive, but let’s see why. Firstly, you don’t seem to be embarrassed if you don’t have ticket. But let’s see how you can buy it; there are ticket machines in almost every station, especially in the big cities, you can buy it by cash or using the card. If the train comes and you

how much does it cost the student life in the UK – the food

I will write every time I have the occasion: send your children to study abroad, especially in the UK. Why UK? Because this country is known all over the world, the faculty is not paid, there are no fees in many countries, for example, UK, Denmark, etc, if we are talking about the 1st faculty, if it is the second one or master or MBA, you pay, but not the school only the transport, meal, accommodation. how much does it cost the food per month for a student in the UK If you are smart you can find good food at a reasonable price, I am talking about the products that expire in 2 days. Do not worry, you can find supermarkets everywhere, at least 2 supermarkets on a distance of about 500 meters. I have one in the corner, the next one Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s at 500 meters
