November 30 – Jonathan Swift, Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, Billy Idol birthadays

Which name should I start with? I think the right method is the chronological order.  Maybe an enumeration would be useful too: Jonathan Swift, Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, Billy Idol. You will tell me now that Billy Idol has no place among the others; my answer is: I think that each one of them with his business in his time. Jonathan Swift 1667 – Jonathan Swift is known especially for his novel “Gulliver’s Travels”. I was fascinated by this novel, I read it with the flashlight under the covers late in the night, excited to discover each adventure and of course the end of the story. The animated movie, produced in 1939, is very well made and very funny.  I’ve watched the movie with a great pleasure (because I’ve tried to find it on internet to post it on my blog), although I am not a child anymore. shopping in Cardiff – part II

Today I’ll tell you about Poundland. I don’t know how I’ve forgotten the first time I’ve written about shopping to mention Poundland or Poundworld.  As its name says anything you buy is 1 Pound or 1£ (GBP). Call it whatever you want. There are 2 Poundland and 1 Poundworld in Cardiff, in the area where I live. Poundland chain has more stores than Poundworld, they sell almost the same things, except for a few differences. When I want to buy something I go to all the 3 stores and it is almost impossible not to find what I want even in one store  🙂 What do you find in these stores? Just about anything you want, less clothing. There are only a few things for kids: socks, gloves etc. Cosmetics: all kinds of cosmetics, deodorants, hair dye products, perfumes not originals but the design of the boxes and the bottles

95% reasons to leave Romania vs 5% reasons to live in Romania

I L Caragiale: “There is nothing in the world that could convince me to leave this foreign life corner (Berlin) and come back in my country (Romania). To see again what I‘ve seen, to suffer again for what I’ve suffered, the same faces, the same fossils leading the public life, poisoning our souls with their stupid and suspicious looks, the same jurors intentionally losing lawsuits or giving unfair verdicts. No my dear friend, no. I’ve exiled myself and that’s all. I like this place, I am content with my family and I think I do not belong anymore to a country where flattery and theft are virtues and work and talent are worthy of pity.” I don’t know how I should begin this article. It’s almost 1 year since I’ve decided to study in UK. So I live in UK most of the time. And I like it very much.
